Happy Monday everyone! Today I thought I'd share another recent thrift store find with you. I believe I paid $14.00 for this beautiful strapless gold and black peplum style party dress, which is definitely pretty pricey for a secondhand store, but I couldn't pass it up!! Also, the gold material is very glittery in person but the camera didn't pick it up too well. I typically can't pull off peplum styled anything because my figure is more pear-shaped...but for some reason this dress works. Yay! Now for the next step...find someplace fun to wear this little gem :-)

A Snippet Of My Day 5/3/15

Went fishing with the hubs last Sunday and ran into these cute lil guys :) Didn't catch anything and got a nasty sunburn...but it was worth it. At least there were no snake sightings! The last time we went I convinced my hubby to stick his feet in the water with me and he reluctantly agreed...10 mins later he looked down and saw a big water snake next to his feet looking right at him!!! Yuck. Anyway, I love taking the time to go out and connect with nature sometimes. Feels so refreshing and is always a great mood booster.

Treasure #4

Went to Plato's Closet yesterday and got these Free People pants with gorgeous velvet detail for $14.00. They're straight leg style and fit like a glove, I'm obsessed! Just have to figure out how to style them now ;) I have to say, I'm loving hubby's face as hes holding up the pants for my blog pic while trying to watch the Kentucky Derby HAHA. Lets go Dortmund!!!

Treasure #3

This 'Gangsta Kitty' T-shirt cost $6.00 at my local thrift store. I really love digging through the T-shirt section because you can find some really unique ones. Plus, lets face it, T-shirts tend to get even more comfy when they have already been worn a couple times. By the way, what do you call a cat thats been caught by the police? The Purrrpatrator. Treasure #2

I found these white and navy blue striped Old Navy flats at my local Plato's Closet for $8.00. They still had the tags on when I got them! Plato's Closet has been my favorite thrift store to shop at recently. The one in my area specifically is super clean and they are constantly blowing yummy smelling smelly stuff in the air that takes away any kind of musty smell that some thrift stores can get. One way I can picture wearing these flats is with a distressed pair of denim capris and a flowy top this spring/summer. 

Treasure #1

Found this adorable medium sized Ecote shoulder bag at a local Plato's Closet. It was priced at $12.00 but that day I sold a few items to the store which they priced at $11.00, so I only paid $1.00 for it. As you can see from the close up, the detail is beautiful! I really like this bag and I have been wearing it with everything lately. I also think it adds a really cool bohemian feel to just about any outfit.
